Returning to work on Monday morning was tough after spending the most fabulous weekend away in Pearl Beach, a little north of Sydney with 8 wonderfully creative girls. I'm so grateful that Nia Neve and Erika Rax, with their creative powers combined, turned their idea of The Creatives Getaway into a reality. A girls weekend away filled with laughter, sharing deliciously decadent food, conversation and creative talents at a gorgeous seaside location.
THANK YOU // Helen for sharing your skills (and succulents) in terrarium making // Chloe for introducing us to the ancient art of traditional Japanese bookbinding // Rachael for her elegant Parisian Flan cooking demo // Chantal for your mini marzipan station and blowing our minds with decadent desserts // Lindy for keeping us 'balanced' with your chiropractic ninja moves, and for always being up for a creative adventure // Jasmin, so lovely to finally meet you too, and to peek a little behind the scenes of your creativity // Nia and Erika for inviting me to share some of my calligraphy techniques, and for all your hard work behind the scenes to make this weekend happen so beautifully – the whole experience was very inspiring.
I never imaged that something that started from stumbling across a beautiful Instagram feed could turn into real friendship. Love Instagram for it's ability to encourage creativity, collaboration and sharing.
All the beautiful photography by Erika Rax.
