Mother's Day with Bonne Maman

In the lead up to Mother's Day I had the pleasure of doing calligraphy for the French jam company Bonne Maman, which translates to 'the good mother' or 'grandmother' in French. Bonne Maman jam is made the old fashioned way, using all natural ingredients, just like your mother or grandmother would. For the first time ever, all 40 flavours of the Bonne Maman jams were flown from France and made available to taste test and purchase with a personalised calligraphy tag at Bonne Maman's Mother's Day pop-up shop in Sydney's The Rocks. Best of all, once the jam is eaten, the beautiful glass jars can be reused in many other creative ways. It was a delight to work alongside such a beautiful brand and ink loving words for special mums, sample more jam than I care to mention, learn a little more French and enjoy the sea breeze of Sydney's beautiful harbour.

I have so much to be grateful to my own mum for, that words simply can not express. Aside from showering her with French jams and loving calligraphy messages, I'm grateful for the time we spent together on Mother's Day celebrating the incredible woman that she is.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there, the new mums and the old, the mothers-to-be and those who would love to be mothers but aren't. I know it may not be a happy day for all as I think of those who are without their mothers today. But we can all be grateful together, for we wouldn't be here today without them. x
