Some of you may have noticed that I recently changed my Instagram account name to @galinadixon (previously @galina). I was lucky enough to secure just my first name @galina back in 2011, shortly after IG launched. Now that IG has over 1 billion users, and Galina being a common Eastern European name, I constantly get tagged and spammed by random people who don’t know how to use IG properly. They tag or msg their friend named “Galina” not realising the account is linked to me 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I was just so over it. So to clear up any confusion, and help my name and brand separate from all the other Galinas out there, my IG account name is now @galinadixon || #galinadixon. PS. @galina still belongs to me, I just parked it and will check it only occasionally. I wasn’t ready to give it up so easily, it is my name after all. 💁🏻‍♀️
